The
Ear-Prompter Story
The EAR-PROMPTER is
a state-of-the-art device that has revolutionized the way on-camera
talent
and public speakers are able to deliver copy.
The EAR-PROMPTER makes
it possible to deliver speeches, however long or technical, perfectly
every
time - without memorization, notes,
or teleprompters-
while maintaining eye contact and fully connecting with your audience like
never before. Preparation time
is cut by almost 90%. Production time is reduced by 50% or more.
HOW
DOES IT WORK? The Ear-Prompter is
a four part system consisting of a small recorder, a broadcast loop, an
earpiece,
and a remote stop/start button.
On
a specially enhanced microcassette
deck, the script or speech is recorded,
with all it's pauses and inflections.
The
broadcast loop,
which is
worn under a shirt around the neck, plugs into the recorder.
The
loop transmits
the recorded material on the microcassette deck to a tiny wireless speaker, which
fits snugly
and invisibly into your ear. Then, you simply repeat what you're
hearing in the receiver - staying about two to three words behind what
you are hearing.
The
remote
stop/start button, which can be positioned anywhere on the body,
allows the recorder to be paused in order to adlib or answer
questions.
The recorder can be restarted at any time, totally unobtrusively.
The Ear-Prompter:
Saves
producers about $500 a day on teleprompter rental and operator fees.
Allows
presenters to prepare their material in minimum time
and deliver it with maximum effectiveness.
Reduces
production time by 50% or more.
Eliminates
"teleprompter glaze" and shifty eyes.
Allows
presenters to move around freely without the distance
constraints of teleprompter reading.
Eliminates
the panic usually associated with last second script changes.
Eliminates
poor vision as an impediment to good performance.
Enables
talent to perform the entire script (including voice-over) on camera!
Clients love
this because it provides a safety net during editing.
Creates
a totally relaxed, natural presentation.
Makes
working with props easy, since the presenter can actually look at and
work
with the prop
without the fear if losing his place on the teleprompter.
